Summary: Nice soap for dry skin
Comment: I like this soap very much. It works well on a variety of skin. My skin is dry and somewhat sensitive. Others in my household have very oily skin. Tom's is good for all of us.

Its called "moisturizing" but doesn't moisturize any more than ordinary "non-moisturizing" soaps.

It is unscented, but isn't scent-less. Its own smell is faint and I find it in-offensive, unlike some unscented, all natural soaps I've tried.

Comment: Tom's Natural Care Body Bar, Unscented, Moisturizing is so clean. There is not residue that forms on the body while using this body bar. I have dry skin and this bar helps keep me moisturized after each shower even when there is no time to apply lotion. I feel clean and refreshed yet not over deodorized.

Summary: Works for my Sensitive Skin
Comment: I have used this soap for over a year and have never experienced the burning or other problems listed by Essex. I have sensitive, dry skin and allergies. So far switching to this soap worked wonders for me. I know that Tom's of Maine was recently purchased by a major vendor (Colgate?). I hope they have not changes the formula.

Summary: A staple for people with allergies...
Comment: My family is highly allergic to perfumed cleaning products; this and their toothpaste line are some of the Tom's Maine's products we routinely use at home and pack for travel, especially when going overseas.

Summary: Not for sensitive skin
Comment: I would advise against this product for those with sensitive skin. I found it much too abrasive to be used as a body soap. It burns. I've been using it as a hand soap instead. They market the lather as being especially silky, but it's more appropriately described as "sticky." Enjoy. =)
