Customer Rating: Summary: A must for any parent of a toddler! Comment: I bought this while I was potty training my twins. I wasn't sure I was going to get much use out of it. Boy, was I wrong! This has saved me more times than I can remember. It is so handy when you can't find a bathroom or you'd rather not use a public restroom. (They can be so gross sometimes!) It is very easy to use and clean up. I've just used white kitchen trash bags once the bags provided were gone.
Customer Rating: Summary: Best Portable Potty Comment: We bought this potty for $20 prior to a trip to CA when our then 20 month old daughter was just beginning to be interested in pottying. It was great. It's convenient, sporty, stylish, and you can take it anywhere set it up quickly. Accessories are cheap, we just use 4gallon trash bags and cut up sanitary napkins or nursing pads or anything absorbent to put in the bottom of the trash bag and you're all set. Plus, the carrying bag looks like a regular messenger bag and has lots of storage space. Noone would ever know you're carrying around a potty. Even my husband loves it! I don't know that I would have paid $50 for the potty then but in hindsight, if you can't find it cheaper anywhere else, this is a potty that would be worth spending $50 on. Now that our daughter is fully potty trained, we still take it everywhere for easy pottying on the go.
Customer Rating: Summary: Love it! Comment: This potty is very easy to use and sturdy. Can easily use garbage bags instead of the manufacturer-provided bags once they run out. Carrier bag is handy and has a few pockets for other items like toilet paper/tissue, spare bags, hand sanitizer, etc. Works great even in our car. We also bought the potette, because it's lightweight and tiny to carry around, but the Fisher Price is definitely sturdier, although larger but still lightweight. Sure beats dealing with (and searching for) public toilets with a really young child!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Potty!!! Comment: This is the potty we use exclusively. I love the disposable bag idea better than the rinsing the bowl in the potty. I leave this set up in the back of my SUV, when we are out somewhere we just go in the back and potty. The travel bag is a great idea but we never use it. As other people have also mentioned we just buy trash bags rather than the bags offered with the potty.
Customer Rating: Summary: A MUST BUY Comment: BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT!!!
SAVE YOUR SELF THE STRESS of a screaming toddler who has the go to the bathroom and ends up peeing on thmeselves.
My 2 year old daughter uses this potty almost everyday. It has a permanent place in the car. When we are are out doing errands and she has to "go potty" all we have to do is walk back to the car so she can go. Yes I know I can carry it around with me, but its a little bulky when including ones Pocketbook filled with everyday adult and toddler needs. This item is much more convient to just leave in the car. We now use the plastic shopping bags or regular small garbage bags. For absorption I use old newspaper instead of nursing pads, I think this is a little more eco-friendly and just as effective.
This is a great buy, A must have for every mom on the go.
It would make a most usefull baby shower gift.
UPDATE
After almost a year of use this potty was still one of my best buys ever. It came in handy on so many family trips.
Hmm lets name a few life saving moments.
1. Stuck in traffic (this one always seems to happen)
2. Apple Picking they had a porta potty I would have died before allowing
my daughter to use that disgusting thing.
3. Seasonal shopping when the bathroom line is out the door and you have
your child telling you POTTY NOW!!!
4. Disgusting rest stop or Reastaurant bathroom
and the list goes on
5. When we are on one of our road trips in where there are no lights and
rest stop in sight. rather not get off the highway in some small town
that is virtually deserted and closes at sundown to hunt down a
bathroom.
