Comment: I love the more natural ingredients. Also, the protein to calorie ratio is great. The bars are also much bigger than most protein bars, especially with under 200 calories. However, these are just too sweet for me!

Comment: After reading other review, ventured to order and enjoyed. These are great quick meal substitutes for me on the Body for Life program. Cinnamon Almond helps me avoid sugary pastries at business brunches/meetings networking.

Comment: I actually go to Dr. Melina since I live in SF Bay Area and think her book is really smart, and easy to understand and follow with real food. I trust her because she makes sense with her dieting tips and I've already seen some weight-loss and what she says is based on truth, since I have followed a similar diet in the past, but it was based on shakes and not real food, but I loss a ton of weight....I went to her in order to get the actual food version of what I had in shakes only, so I can learn to eat and lose for good this time.

During my office visit, as a try, she gave me a couple of these bars, and though I haven't tried the Lemon Raspberry yet, I did try the Cinnamon Almond. It was absolutely DELICIOUS and I hate bars...especially Pria and SoyJoy (taste like nasty cardboard covered in plastic goop). I was on BART eating it, since I was running late to an appointment and didn't have lunch. I felt like I was eating a cinnamonney treat. I don't think I can eat any other bars anymore and will try the other just to see if they are as good; I'm not crazy about Chocolate Bars unless it's Atkins Dark Chocolate Brownie, which is the best I've ever tried. And, because I'm diabetic and have a thyroid condition, its more challenging for me to lose weight easily, but cinnamon does help the blood-sugar control with diabetes so I think this bar will help me in more than providing pre-workout energy or missed meal emergency nutrition. In fact, I'm signing up for the auto-delivery on these bars because she is becoming more popular and I just know that she will be selling out on this product very VERY SOON. Love love LOVE Dr. Melina.

Summary: yum! And the perfect combo of nutrients
Comment: These bars are great...the cinnamon almond is my personal favorite. I've looked at the labels and tried a lot of nutrition bars, and these not only taste great but also have the best combination of nutrients I have been able to find. A nutritionist I saw recommended that I find a bar that has less than 200 cal, at least 7 grams protein and less than 14 grams sugar, and these fit the bill, unlike many bars I find in Whole Foods or Trader Joe's,which either don't have enough protein or have too many sugars or too many calories or not enough fiber (even some have high fructose corn syrup). The taste and texture is similar to some Luna Bars, but chewier (so takes longer to eat, which is good!). I keep them in the car or my gym bag for an afternoon snack. Thanks Dr. Melina!

Comment: After reading Dr. Melina's book I decided to give her bars a try. I'm hooked - they're really good. The nutrition, consistency and taste are all great and they fill you up for a while. The Cinnamon Almond Bars are really good as a mid-morning snack along with a cup of coffee!
