Summary: Good for what it does
Comment: Never had one of these before, but have used one in a spa. I don't like the instruction to unplug when not in use: that's not really practical, and I don't know anybody who unplugs every appliance they have when they aren't using it. Of course, I don't leave it turned on when it's not in use; I will turn it on in the morning if I think I'm going to want to use it during the day. The temperature could be a degree or two lower, but I suppose different people have different tolerances; after about the 3rd or 4th dip, I find that my fingernails feel a bit like they're being burned. Then again, maybe keeping the lid on retains more heat than it needs to, so I'm going to try taking the lid off after the parafin is melted and see if my fingernails are happier.
